What is the best time of year to visit Australia? I'm going to be spending two weeks in Australia. I'll be travelling all over including southern places such as Melbourne as well as the great barrier reef and Uluru. I'm wondering what the best time of year to visit would be. Being a native Floridian, I like warm temperatures! Sure, I'd like to spend more time there, but it is possible to do what I'm doing in two weeks. The itinerary is all set. I just need to figure out when I want to go.

Is it good to visit Australia at the end of May? My family and I will visit Australia at the end of May until June. It's my first time and I wonder if the weather will be good at this time when we get there. We're going to Sydney for sightseeing and we're going to swim in the Bordi beach there because we want to try it for our first time. Anyone, is there storms, snow, or any bad weather at this time? What is the average temperature in Australia in May and June? Also, were going to Gold Coast for more swimming in the beach. In fact, unfortunately our plans are fixed and we cannot changed it. Also, this is the only vacation time available for us. We have no idea what the weather in Australia is like and we only knew the weather in the US. Anyone, help inform me about the weather in Australia.

Which city is better to visit in Australia: Cairns or Brisbane? Hi, we are a family of 5 and will be visiting Australia for a week this summer (July.) We have already decided to visit Sydney for 3 days and are now chosing between Cairns and Brisbane. I was wondering which city would be better to visit for 4 days in your opinions. The biggest considerations are activities for children, weather, and beaches. We could visit both cities (2 days each) but feel that it would be a bit of a rush. Thanks! Just to add: If we choose Brisbane, we will likely spend most of the time on the Gold Coast not in the city of Brisbane itself. Thanks again!

Where to live if I want to visit Australia for 3 months? Hello! I'm considering moving to Australia with my girlfriend when I finish University, and am currently considering a 3 month "trial" December 2007-Mar 2008. We are in the early stages of planning, but I want to see Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and maybe stay one month in each place... What I'm worried about is where to stay for that time. I would prefer not to stay in a hostel for the whole period, and cannot afford hotel. So if there is anyone who knows of a private Bed and Breakfast kind of thing that could house me and my girlfriend for a couple of weeks in any of the mentioned cities, please let me know!
Is it safe to visit Australia? I am Pakistani and I live in the United States. I am planning on visiting Australia in May/June. But after hearing the attacks on Indians, I am getting a little worried. I do not look much different than Indian. I am worried that someone would mistake me as an Indian and try to kill me. I mean I know majority of the people are not racist, but it has gone out of hands. Here in America, I have never feared someone trying to attack me because of my race. I just wanted some inputs of people who have visited or live there? Thanks

Why are the English such condescending morans when they visit Australia? I almost punched out this Pom at Bondi Beach today, because he had the nerve to abuse me for halling a cab, which disrupted his jay walking with his Pommy family. Seriously, do you people ever think, I may have let it slip untill I heard his pathetic Pommy accent. I hate them, because they are pretentious wankers who we could punch out in a momemt, pathetic really.
Where is a nice bucolic place to visit in Australia? I will be working there this summer on an internship after I graduate college. Meanwhile, I want to visit somewhere I can appreciate the aesthetics of the landscape. I've always wanted to see a school of kangaroos. Further, I enjoy the cacophony of the didgeridoo. I'm planning on taking my notebook with me, so I can record ideas for a novel. Where is a good place to visit in the Outback so I can experience these things? Will someone please answer the question?

Best city in Australia to live in and visit? What do you think is the best city in Australia to live in and the best vity in Australia to visit. The best city in Australia i would have to say to live in is defenitely Perth and even though it's the most isloated city in the world which sucks and it is pretty obring and there is not much to see and do and it is now the most expensive city in Australia to live in it is still by far the nicest city in Australia to live in in terms of standards of living. Perth is a beautiful laidback freindly and relaxed city with lots of beautiful beaches and scenery and it is by far the cleanest biggest city in Australia, and while it is not one of the safest cities in Australia it is still alot safer then Sydney and Darwin which are the most dangerous cities in Australia. It also has the best health care system in Australia, and in a few weeks time i will be going back home there and i am very much looking forward to it and it will get to see my family there again. Especially since i have been away overseas travelling and staying with other family in England and America for the past 6 months. Anway Perth to me Perth is by far tyhe best city in Australia to live in and now for the city in Australia which i think is the best to visit i would say it is defenitely Melbourne because there is so much to see and do in Melbourne such as the Rialto building which is onje of the tallest buildings in the world the MCG the west gate bridge and the imax theatre and there are lots of trams to catch smd there is a nice big shopping mall there aswell as the Yarra river and the Casino complex which has fountains that squirt out from the ground. So anyway thats what i think, what do you think is the nicest city in Australia to live in and which do you think is the nicest city in Australia to visit.
